I love you : The Wall

"To find the song that you once could sing
Where there is hope there is a dream".
Song Of Reconciliation
-Susan Ashton

In a world marked by violence and dominated by individualism, walls, like frontiers, are usually made to divide and to separate people and to protect them from one another. On the contrary, Le mur des je t'aime (I love you : the wall) is a link, a place of reconciliation, a mirror which reflects an image of love and peace downtown Paris Montmartre, in France. With over 311 written declarations in 250 different languages, I love You : The Wall has become a meeting place for lovers.

I love you : the wall is a monument dedicated to love erected in the romantic garden of the Square Jehan Rictus Place des Abbesses in Paris Montmartre. The work of art, created by Frédéric Baron and Claire Kito has become a meeting place for lovers of Love.

For a lovely walk or a hike, an unusual step for your honeymoon, the discovery of a missed spot, for saying I love you in different languages, to stroll in the most romantic place in Paris, it´s an invitation to discover the The Wall of Love in music and images.

Wooster & Jeeves

"Because I'm invited to step out this evening
With top hat and white tie and tails."
Top Hat, White Tie And Tails
- Fred Astaire

Suspension lamps Wooster & Jeeves have been designed by Jake Phipps taking the exact shape of the classic top hat and the bowler respectively by a tribute to British history.

Both reflect the class system of British society in the late XIX century in which the wealthy high society gentlemen word top hat and those belonging to the working class used the bowler (Anglo-Saxon symbol par excellence).

With these designs Jake Phipps manages to turn a cultural icon in a funny lighting element reminiscent of past times of British society.

The most attractive way to place these lamps are grouped randomly evoking a group of citizens gathered.

The two lamps are made of felt and lined inside with aluminum (silver in the case of Wooster and gold if Jeeves) to increase light reflection.

The designer, Jake Phipps, has his studio located in London and is dedicated to designing products that are manufactured on a large scale.
